Does anybody else ever feel.....Part # 7

Recommended Posts

Sounds like great fun Laura.

I go and collect the milk money with my next door neighbour, whose husband owns the farm next door. 3 hours wandering round milnrow knocking on people's doors and reminding them that, yes it is thursday and yes you do owe that much. Or, you drank the milk, now you have to pay for it! Grrr! I do meet some nice people though! And I get paid, not too bad lol.

Hi guys - what a lovely evening. DS stormed off in a huff - as he isn't contributing financially I dared to suggest he actually pitched in with some chores. I wonder if he'll come home tonight? Again his usual answer is that he will find somewhere else to live. OH said good luck finding a place that is less than £20 a week rent. I think he'll stew for a while and then make as much noise as possible when he comes in later. Has anybody seen Meet the Fokkers? The little baby says something rather rude (which my mum loves and also does the same rude word in the same way) and that word springs to mind at this very moment - of course done in the delightful way as the little kiddiwinks did it. Funny how DD has some suggestions as how to deal with him - usually she sticks up for him. Sibling politics in action.

Ooh getting my new specs back again tomorrow morning. I hope it's all sorted, or I will have to go for peripheral testing Saturday week.Fingers crossed for a successful replacement lens.

Well I shall love you and leave you yet again. I have been feeling quite tired lately, so need to do a Debs. It could be worse Debs - we have "doing a Gramps" which is having an item of food stuck on your chin and not notice - like the FIL! Actually OH is beginning to take after his father! Doing a mum is when you spill takeaway down your chest (why it happens I don't know - at the table or not - it still does it, even when I am so careful and lean forward - that's when I find out there is sauce on the side of my plate and it transfers over - Bah Humbug). Actually I did it today - no takeaway, I was testing the cream to see if it had gone off before I added it to our dinner - it hadn't but it ended up down my shirt anyway. Arghhhh!

So on that high note  I will bid you all g'night.

Morning all.

Ducks are lovely :D The reason they float is because their mummy told them to and showed them how. Or in the case of the ones I had, next doors ducks came in and showed them. Was that a technical enough answer. :anxious::lol:

Morning all. I lub duckies. My old car was called Ducky until someone in the village killed it!

I think it is like flying - instinct. At the rescue centre they had iddle ducklings and they were kept dry for the most part then were allowed a paddle for a short while - they took to it like they'd been swimming for yonks. They do like to make mud puddles though. The lady's garden was full of little duck mud holes! They are also a fattier bird (which is why I was always a good swimmer - harrrrrrrrrrr! ) - it's the blubber that helps keep us afloat (and warm - phew it's hot outside).

I now have my specs and my eye is still not right (probably needs taking out, polishing and sticking back in), but I wore them on the way home. Boy the ground is much closer and it was hard not to look like I was riding an invisible bike on the way home! So I probably looked like I had a few too many instead. Thankfully not that many people about at the time.
