alih Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Disappointed really- love the book and thought it was all a bit rose-coloured and not wild enough...it's such a vicious story and I felt it was too tame and ploddy, not tortured and savage...shame really as with the money they clearly had they coudl have played a blinder! Although your reviews don't sound too good. One of my favourite stories My favourite version was the one with Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes. It was very dark and tortured.
