Couldn't make my mind up about Heathcliffe.

I keep thinking of Sir Larry as Heathcliffe. I know comparisons may be odious,but I don't think he's Heathcliffe at all in this production.........

Loved it. Know what you mean about Heathcliff though - at first I thought he was all wrong, but he is growing on me. Cathy feels not quite right either. But all the other performances were fantastic, can't wait for tonight.

I hated it! I think the Laurence Olivier Black and white version was better.

Disappointed really- love the book and thought it was all a bit rose-coloured and not wild enough...it's such a vicious story and I felt it was too tame and ploddy, not tortured and savage...shame really as with the money they clearly had they coudl have played a blinder!

i saw the old black and white version at cinema yrs ago when I was younger and it frightened me to death when they ran over the moors hand in hand. Can't remember who was in it.Heathcliffe needs to be dark and brooding and of celtic looks. Saw a bit of it wasnt that impressed.

One of my favourite stories

 

My favourite version was the one with Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes. It was very dark and tortured.

 

Dan and I loved this so much that we named our daughter Juliette Catherine Don't know what we would have done if she had been a boy, don't quite fancy having a Ralph
