The new purple eglu (purple eglu) .

Please all pray for nice non-rain weather for me as I need to get out in the garden and take the cube apart first thing (after dropping children off at school and nursery, walking the dog, tidying the house!!!!).

No idea how difficult this is going to be as I have never done it and i will be on my own as OH at work.

I was thinking I may take the run apart tonight just leaving them the cube to go to bed in and then move the cube tomorrow - is this possible?

The Omlet man is coming with the Eglu so he will be here to make it so will have to have the space ready and cube all out the way.

Will take photos.

Wonder what the girls will make of their new home?

Hi Michelle

The cube is quite easy to take apart, I built both of mine and have taken the latest one apart a couple of times to pressure wash as it came WITH red mite

I would recommend an electric screwdriver! It will be heavy going by hand.

To remove the cube run the side panels of the cube need to come off so I would be inclined to leave it as is and take it all apart in the morning.

Good luck and I hope the (purple eglu) helps with your morning noise problem :D

If I were closer I would come and help!

I wish you were closer too! Thank you.

Ok so do it all in the morning then.

Hmm maybe I could make the Omlet man a nice cup of tea and a sandwich and cake and he could help :D:wink: .

If i am not quite done I can simply have the eglu all made up then move it in place later on.

I am going to take it all apart and pressue washer it (my dads Karcher) and clean it all ready for it being picked up when the sale goes through.

Will have to borrow my dads electric screw driver too or grab husbands cordless and see if he can get it all ready and charged for me tonight. Also have to get all the pegs out the skirt of the run - hmm maybe I could do that tonight and ensure the girls are shut in the cube safely.

Dog is also going to the groomers tomorrow so an exciting day all round!!!

Omlet man arrived early this morning and Project Eglu was underway!

He was here so early that I hadnt started on dismantling the cube so in these photos you will see the cube still in position and the eglu on the spare piece of grass. Later on after these photos husband came home and we did have time to move the cube and put the eglu in position and tomorrow I need to finalised it as at moment cant open poo tray!

The girls loved the move and the best bit ever was when I moved the slabs about and underneath were dozens and dozens of big fat worms.

I have also bored you with some photos of Yogy as he is my baby and went to the groomers today and cant leave him out! You can see he is getting his adult coat from the head back and the baby fluff is going. He 'played' with the chickens today and at one point two of them had an ear each and the other pecked his bottom - i even got scared! However it didnt deter them and when I put the girls away in the run he sat whining for them to come out!
