Egluntyne
Sat in an exhausted stupor through an episode of Jam and Jerusalem, to tired to pick up the remote control and turn it off. My laziness turned into a sort of fascinated horror as the episode progressed. I haven't seen such unadulterated bo**ocks for years. Who writes this cr*p? Who gave the go ahead for such tosh to go ahead? I keep coming back to this question...........Is it me??

Guest
Letters in the Radio Times say a similar thing, Egluntine. I have watched every episode so far and although at first I thought it total rubbish, it is sort of growing on me. I wouldn't mind if I missed it, but I quite enjoyed tonight's episode. Mind you, I am very tired and I was reading January's Organic Life magazine at the same time! p.s. Watching Joanna Lumley is totally amazing. I just stare at her in disbelief. I try to stick to factual programmes. The funniest thing I do watch is usually Have I got News for You, or QI. Never Mind the Buzzcocks used to have me laughing hysterically on the floor, but not so much with the new presenter now.

Cate in NZ
I haven't seen it. That said I did intend to watch it when it first started I liked the sound of it from the cast and write up, but I've just been too busy to sit and watch it. From the sounds of it I'm glad that I didn't waste my time on it.

Mel (& Paul)
I thought this weeks was better than some - but I have to admit that with the cast I thought it was going to be something really spectacular. Hey Ho

Egluntyne
Mel (and Paul) says: with the cast I thought it was going to be something really spectacular. The only amusing thing in fridays episode was the exchange about dogging and cottaging....that was clever. The rest....well. And Joanna Lumley....wandering about in a silly hat and ill fitting dentures...what a waste of her talent.
Mel (& Paul)
But I thought the bit with Sue Johnson and thingy from Smack the Pony was good - a bit of drama and the scene in the Doctors surgery with the old headmistress - I had to hide
Mel (& Paul)
Mind you - isnt it great that we all like different things - makes this forum and the world a much more interesting place
Egluntyne
Mel(and Paul) describes one of the actors as thingy from Smack the Pony Well, you know how sometimes you take an instant and often unreasonable dislike to someone on 't telly, well....... I absolutely cannot abide her. Her face is so irritating.....aaaargh.......I hate her twisted mouth....... I know....I know.....its me!!! She's not a very good actor either....she only does one thing....and that is pull annoying faces.

Egluntyne
Watched tonight's episode whilst ironing. I found myself unable to look away it was so hideous. I love Sue Johnston as an actress but what the hell is she doing in this?? I'm not religious person at all but I found tonight's episode blasphemous and insulting. If another religious groups basic beliefs were ridiculed in this way there would be a huge fuss made. It was banal. Is it me.....???
Guest
I haven't watched it yet - added incentives now! This is by Jennifer Saunders isn't it? I don't think I'd noticed blasphemy from her before. I'll try to watch it tomorrow and report back!
