Recommended Posts

well..........

when tasha[redwing] said she had brought some silkie eggs and last night after my fox attack :( my mum said she would replace them but i said i would prefer hatching eggs

as i could raise them and tame them.

so last night i accidently won 2 auctions on ebay and i now have the following coming:

6 white silkie eggs

1 blue bearded

1 partridge

1 black

and 3 mixed

well you cant blame me :shameonu::lol:

dont worry i do understand that they will go out in spring and my plan is to keep them inside until about 8 weeks then move them into a heated shed which i have kept hens in before with an eglu and heat lamp until spring

all sorted apart from..........

these questions

how do i set the suro up

what tempurature do i set it on and what humidity do i set it on

how big do i cut the sheet of foamy type stuff

:think::think::think:

thanks

josh

Did you get a manaul with the suro?

There is a R-com manual here but not a suro one :)

The settings will need to be on the Chicken one if there is one. 37.5oC and 45% relative humidity then stop turning/tilting the eggs and 65% relative humidity for the last 3 days :D

Good luck with the (hatch)

My R-COM pro 20 sets itself at 37.5c and 45% until day 18, then stops turning and reduces temperature to 37c and ups humidity to 60%. My books tell me that it is important the temperature comes down as the humidity goes up.

Good luck.
