ali-s
I've had a very successful trip to the garden centre this afternoon (well 2 actually and B&Q and Homebase) looking for vegatable seeds. I am going to grow mini veg which is ideal in a very small plot or containers. The seeds are Mr Fothergills - Beetroot, Sweetcorn,Squash, Parsnip, Carrot, Cauliflower, Courgette and Peppers. Still need to find Turnip, Lettuce, cabbage and Aubergine - Dobies do these so I will order online. I couldn't find seed potatoes anywhere, am I a bit early for these? You can grow carrots that are shaped like golf balls, I've got some seeds. You can grow about 20 at a time in a small container.
The Dogmother
Driving around this afternoon, I saw an ad outside a local garden centre for seed potatoes. Perhaps they're a bit later up there
ali-s
You are probably right Clare I have been reading the thread on potato barrels started last year. My potatoes started chitting on 12th of February, so a few more weeks yet.
