Any ex-battery hen piccys?

Recommended Posts

This is Tinsel (aka He/She), one of my ex-batts. She was rescued in December 2007 and if you think she looks like a cockerel here, you should see her now. She started crowing in Easter this year and has gone to live at M-I-L's with her own group of girls.

:D

The middle hen on the next photo is Mistletoe who went missing and turned up seven miles away and sparked a radio and media frenzy (well, slight excitement!) in our area.

And finally, this is Bauble who came to us bald and who passed away last Christmas.

And this was them on 29th March, just 7 weeks later and they're all still thriving! :D :

This is our second lot which we got on 9th October - Buttercup, Primrose & Daffodil, who were much better feathered up and we are going to start freeranging with our other chooks next week:

I have pics of my ex batts on here somewhere. Little madams escaped this afternoon and went in seperate directions. A neighbour spotted one inthe garden across the road and came to tell me, luckily the man whose garden it was thinks the girls are great ad helped me catch her. The other one had gone next door but is easlly caught with a few mealyworms. I was givng them a talking to when I looked up to see two teenage lads loig at me very strangely.

Janty...

What type of chicken is that on the left in your second picture..?

She has lovely markings.

That's Kylie, my miniature gold partridge brahma.

She is gorgeous.

I now have two LF gold partridge brahmas thanks to Griffin.

They have equally gorgeous markings.
