Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 11

Recommended Posts

Debs is still struggling - but I'm freeeeee mwahahahaaaaarrrrrr!

Like Lewis - forgot to snap happy pics in spite of bringing 2 cameras - and then only the birdies - which were bantam Wyandottes - blue with silver pencilling - or was it silver with blue pencilling :? I wrote it down but my notepad is still upstairs and if I vacate I will never get back one here! And in spite of Debs camera snapping everywhere (thank goodness my hot chocolate hadn't dripped on my shirt)! Helloooo anyone in that head of yours Kerry? Nope.

So instead of narrowing down the list of wants - it has grown instead. And I need to go to more shows and have the courage to ask the experts more. I was surprised not to see any gold laced orpie cockerels - their feathers are stunning, only girls - and a bantam version (want). I didn't spot the legbar either, but those Japanese birdies tails - gorgeous. Me wants faverolles for sure, and Belgian ones - it's those little beards that get me. Erin wants ducks. Little pale brown call ducks. Ones that have their beaks open all the time quacking and you can see their little tongues (reminds me of her - mouth never shuts).

Had a detour on the way home via Leamington Spa. Erin was map reading. But it was very interesting to look at the old buildings - not been there before. Plus it was probably a better route because of the road works had tail-backs on the way in (and no signposts either until you were on top of a junction and had to into the outside lane  ), but good run home. Something in the air here, because I had an allergic reaction when I got home - eyes really bad and sneeze and wheeze! OK today, although eyes are still a bit sore, but the nose is fine. :? Fungi spores maybe????

Chucking it down here today, so yesterday was really good for travelling.

Afternoon all! Had a fabby day, thanks for taking me Debs. Was lovely to meet you all, Erin was lovely and so was Lewis' mum. Koojie what's that band called that Erin likes? Had completely forgotten by the time I got home, and trying to ask hubby if he'd heard of them without actually knowing what they're called, was a bit hopeless.

I really liked all the ducks, especially the big blacks ones, they had a lovely green sheen, and purpley heads :)

Afternoon :)

We have relatives over from Australia (second cousins me thinks, never met them before) and everyone has gone to the park - Lewis was asleep

Just cleaned out the (green eglu) - we needs a new WIR, its all muddy + 'orrible!

I love the little call ducks! I'd get some but don't know how practical ducks would be in the garden :eh:

The gerbilarium is here :D We can collect them whenever we're ready but Mom wants to wait until closer to Christmas.

Was it these Belgians Koojie?

Afternoon all :D

Sorry been a bit busy this weekend, had a friend sleepover.

Seems you all had a great time yesterday :D

You all look happy and the t-shirts are 8) ... even you Lewis in your 'too tight t-shirt'

Eeeee...Lewis gerbilarium :D

Okay so I can't have a Gerry baby since they're all boys but you still *have* to call one Quigley....pretty please and I'll be eternally grateful?

Seems every room in our scottish mansion is padded

Aren't those little Belgians just sooo cute! Yes, they're the ones Lewis. :D The piccy of the call duck on the other thread was like the one Erin wanted. I'm sure the fellow up the road with the menagerie has call ducks - they make such a racket! Not too keen on the "ballerina" chickens - I say they look like they're on stilts! And the odd ones with short legs that look like feathery boxes (legs at the edge) look so odd.

PT - the band is called The Blackout. I think they are quite good (although not keen on the growly/shouty bits in the odd songs).

Erin made her way along the cages going "boof boof" as she squidged any fluffy bottoms near the wires. Ah well at least she was happy.

And I had to make myself another round of sarnies yesterday morning. A certain young lad ate mine from the fridge. The text message he sent was "sorry, didn't know it was yours. For what it's worth it was very tasty". Hmph!

Murray made dinner for us - indoor BBQ'd chicken with his special marinade. Yummmmm. Although he hadn't cooked mine all the way through - but it was only a little bit on one end.

Lalalala not looking at Christmassy bits yet (apart from the secret santa bit that I'm doing) :anxious:

Evening all :D

Well I saw Mr PurpleTree at football, and we had a chat about his day yesterday. Its was a pleasure to take you PT, and I hope the light saber wars are over in your house

It was tipping down at football, so I got soaked to the skin  And we lost :(

However, Chickys Christmas Avatar has made me feel all happy and Christmassy

See you later :D

I need a new christmassy avatar

The aussie have gone - nice people :)

We had a trio of belgian quail bantams, Koojie, first chickens we had - dad made us take Rooster back, so we were left with Davina + Davina's friend 8)

Never had a single egg off them in over a year  then the cat got them through the mesh :(

Lewis is looking at cars - brother really wants an old VW golf in red and always has done ... opened the paper today and there was one there for £500! Don't think I'll get it but still a coincidence  Saw a black fiest I liked for £600 but the parentals said there must be reasons why they're so cheap  Will have another gander
