If you could, who, on the forum, would you most like to meet?

Recommended Posts

I am always happy to meet forum members so couldn't pick one. I've made some good friends through the meetings we've had.

It's hard to believe I first met some pals a year ago last september and then we had the Kew gathering in January last year and I put faces to avatars and met Mel, we sat on the naughty table with Clare.

My first thought was Johnny Depp but that's not what you meant :D:wink:

BBx

The people I really admired when I first joined the forum were Lesley and Sheila. I was thrilled to meet them both at Kew last January and have happily met them both again since. :D:D

I have always been interested in our assessment of people and how we instinctively seem to know who we would get on well with, sometimes even just by appearances. I am fascinated that we seem to be able to make these judgements even on a forum where all we have to go by are written words.

Another advantage of getting to know people here is that I have come into contact with people I wouldn't normally have sought out. I don't go out to work, so I choose who I mix with most of the time. I feel privileged to 'know' those people here and I'm pleased that my respect and liking of some have grown considerably in my time here. :D

Ubereglu because her wire hens adorn my living room wall.

Gooner.girl because we have shared egg laying moments (!) and live so tantilisingly close to each other.

Annie P for sending me a PM and making me laugh when I was depressed.

Lesley and Kate and Claret for being fountains of all knowledge.

Mel (& Paul) cos she'd be a great drinking partner.

Aww, aren't you lot lovely!!! Really I'd just like to meet everybody.

I think I would end up having a mini argument with Martin though-and then laugh about it-only because I sometimes sigh at his posts though. Especially about the purple eglu picture on my post with the picture of MY EGLU!!! (always has to go one better). Also that kind of thing would never happen to me!

I'd like to meet you all but especially...

Laura and ctb - the shared egg laying memories are because i got my Bluebell and Snowdrop at the same time she got Prada and Gucci and cos she lives so near we swapped pm's about when our first eggs would come - it felt like it was taking forever didn't it Laura!

Also Annie - fellow gooner! Plus i want to cuddle her donkeys!

Lesley - so we can reminisce about Stratford upon avon

and...

Martin, Revnev and Chelsea so we can talk football!:lol:

Revnev in his dog collar - then I'd be convinced! :D

.......you can get them from Fancy Dress outlets - or cut up a Fairy Liquid bottle - I still wouldn't be convinced

fairy liquid bottles are green/yellow nowadays - or transparent - no good at all...

what you want is an economy bleach bottle - they're the best...

I've seen our vicar cut up a piece of white paper and use that as a dog-collar. He had clearly done it before!:lol::lol:

card is better then paper - if you use paper, then it is best to fold it so it doesn't crease as you try to push it into your collar...

I used a bit of old postcard the other day - but absent-mindedly put it in backwards (for a funeral) - and only realised after the service that your sharp-eyed mourner could have spotted the little rectangle where the stamp goes...
