Want to expand the canine family!

Recommended Posts

We have decided to expand our family in the dog department!!

YAY :D I am so excited!! OH suggested it and we would be looking to get a new puppy next spring / summer.

We already have Meg who is 5 and a Parson Russell Terrier. We have been looking at all the breeds and I really love terriers, so have been looking at English Bull Terriers, maybe another Parson Russell or Irish Terrier, which are gorgeous!!

Does anyone have an Irish Terrier? and can comment on them?

They are great little dogs & very friendly our Border Terrier looks like the Meerkat from the advert compare the meerkat.com lol

Will you be getting your new dog from a Rescue or Breeder?

I think we will get a pup, purely because Meg is a bit nervous around other dogs and she can adjust slowly to a smaller being! I would love a rescue dog though so will look at all possibilites, trouble is a lot of the conditions that come with rescue dogs put us out of the ball game i.e. musn't be homed with other dogs, not with children, must have a fenced garden etc. Our garden is open at the front and side we also have a field next door with access through a hedge so we have had to train Meg not to wander off.

I have looked at Patterdales too, but the Irish Terrier looks soooooooo sweet!!

:D

Yes, I may have to rethink because of size, I have been looking at some on you tube and they are quite big!, Some look almost as big as an Airdale. I just love the look, maybe a Welsh Terrier or wire haired fox terrier, before we got our Parson Russell terrier we were looking at Lakeland Terriers.

I love their faces and whiskers they look such a good shape dog dont they?
