Ocado kindly delivered yesterday evening

 

They managed to deliver most things apart from the puff pastry (yes I am that lazy / busy / rubbish at making it that I buy it ready made) and the apricots, both of which I required today

I had ordered the pastry when I started my food shop in October so they will have know I wanted it! That'll teach me not to order things like that early and freeze them

 

Thankfully I managed to get it in Morrisons round the corner without any palaver - I banked on everyone traipsing to the big Tescos / Sainsburys and was right. I parked without a problem and sailed through the handbasket checkout

 

I must admit I have enjoyed the lack of hassle / scrum this year. The butcher will be delivering the meat this morning as well which means even less time having to fight for parking and queues

I buy bits I need from Abel&Cole and had placed an early order to be delivered on the 22nd (our delivery day is Tuesday)

 

I has an email on Monday saying that they didn't have any sprouts available. We have only grown a few so the advance warning gave us time to buy some from the farm shop.

 

I was very impressed with their delivery - and the cream was all in date!

I've got my Able & Cole delivery today

 

I've been adding bits to it over the last couple of weeks and just checked through what I've got coming - I hope there's room in the fridge

 

They did e-mail to say they couldnt deliver any coriander but to be honest I cant remember why I wanted it now

However,I did a dash to Tesco last night to get puff pastry & couldn't get any either

All present and correct in my Oacdo delivery last night. I never go mad with food but have had to take a shelf out to fit the turkey in though

Expected Ocado at 10.30 last night, but turned up at 8.15 - not that I was complaining! Everything was there except for the pigs in blankets, but they did give me some cocktail sausages and rashers of bacon as an intelligent substitution.

 

Just have to pick up MIL and make another fruit cake and cook the gammon and we'll be sorted!

Wensleydale instead of Cheddar

Plain Pringles not sour cream & onion

 

I couldn't be bothered to go through them all to be honest....it's food after all!

I once got dairylea cheese spread instead of mozzorella(not to be recommended on a pizza )

Had my ocado delivery today

 

he did say the alternatives were picked by computer rather than a person

 

no organic onions so they had no alternative no onions at all

 

and no pancatta and leek sausageneat stuffing so they sent 6 mini sausagemeat wraps

 

oh well i got my turkey and veg lol wow that turkey was bigger than i thought

My Ocado delivery was due on Tuesday between 10 and 11am, however they broke down on the M6!! It was almost all delivered at a later time to suit me - betweeen 7 and 8pm but our frozen stuff was removed as it had thawed!! Other than that it was perfect. Felt sorry for the poor driver though he had an incredibly long day.
