Charlottechicken
I saw a huge star in the sky last night on the way back from Villa, I think it was Venus, not sure. If it was in the west Martin it may have been Venus. As both Venus and Mercury are closer to the Sun than us, they 'set' in the night sky just following or preceding the Sun (west) and 'rise' again (in the east) the following morning. During the day the light they reflect is much dimmer than the Sun so they cannot be seen, but they are still there! All the other planets appear stationary, but gradually move across the sky much more slowly, as their orbits are much further from the Sun than we are, passing through the Constellations representing the zodiac as they go. Jaime, that bug was looking right at you when you took its photo

Snowy
Wow Two stunning pictures!! I have a great, old Pentax 35ml SLR camera that I used to take loads of pictures on. Got very lazy now with my dinky little, not many mega pixel digital camera. These pics really make me want to get out the proper camera again!
