Happy chickens!
In-laws moved in before xmas due to burst pipe flooding their cottage. It had taken a while to organise, but they were due to move into a rented bungalow on the 18th, so at least the end was in sight, but........ ......... the bungalow has a burst pipe, is flooded with the ceiling down. Excuse me for one minute AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Valkyrie
I shouldn't laugh, but I'm in such a good mood - mine have gone to South Africa and won't be back for months! Here's a few things to take your mind off them for a short while - try and make them last a bit.

Happy chickens!
Ooh Koojie, they were delicious - afraid they didn't last and have now succumbed to the lure of the wine bottle, hic! Have already been making copious quatities of comfort food, stews, soups, cakes and eating them too. Ahh well, when the snow thaws, can think about dieting then. Couperwife, thanks so much for the offer, am setting off shortly (you did mean me not the outlaws??!) ..... oh no over the limit, tomorrow ok? Long time since been to teeside, OH went to poly there, have some fond memories. Will be 6 months til the outlaws can move back into their own home, so really, really, really need to find rented place for them, for all our sanities!! Patricia W
On a practical level, have you tried Gumtree for rented properties? I've found it excellent in the past - and does away with letting agents!
Wolfie
That is awful. We have just moved back into our bungalow after a pipe leak. We were out of our house for seven months. We are getting chickens (soon) as part of our therapy.
Happy chickens!
Thanks Patricia, found a possible on there and they are going to see it later today. I can't go with them as I rolled over in bed last night and slipped a disc somehow. . Excruciating pain, OH had to dress me and took me to drs who has given me copious painkillers. Feeling very sorry for myself indeed.
