Excess seeds - exchange

Recommended Posts

Well I have some spare pumpkin seeds(which Emma gave me! As 5/6 of the seeds grew!), but I tend to dry the seeds from the fruits like I did with the runner bean seeds I sent you.

I do have lots of tomato seeds though as I bought the Gardener's world magazine as I wanted the herb and salad seeds-meaning I now have too many tomato seeds as I only usually grow about 4 plants!

a) No more space

b)You'd end up with a huge glut of them, which even us and our neighbours couldn't use.

c) It would be more for our neighbours to water when we go on holiday in the summer

I've also planted loads of varieties of vegetables, so space is definitely needed.

Have you planted the runner bean seeds I sent you? How are they growing-let me know!

Hi again everyone, it's only me, a friendly face!

I planted brocolli seeds a while back but the slugs got them all! So therefore my allotment is calling out to me for some brocolli.

Does anybody have any brocolli seeds that they would like to swap for something different?

I can offer:

Peas, beans, carrots, fennel, lettuce, cabbage, tomato.

Martin

At the minute I have some pumpkin seeds available and some Gardener's Delight tomato seeds. (I really don't need these seeds as my 2 pumpkin plants are huge and are gradually taking over the garden and I already have 4 tomato plants!)

I'd like to swap them for some pea seeds, (preferably purple podded peas, but I'm not fussy) and some herb seeds, (not chives though).

This is fun!! I want to play, but I only have lots of hollyhock seeds off my dad's plants which are glorious and about 8 feet high!! I planted a row against our fence and they have all taken...I now learn that they wont flower until next year...so I have that to look forward to.

I grow my veggies in plant pots, which seems to prevent bugs until they are quite big...and amongst my flower beds I have perpetual spinach, beetrot and lettuces and somewhere there are carrots!! The veggies add a little background colour and the flowers dont seem to mind!!

I love growing tomatoes think it may be too late for this year, but seeds will keep til next year....I may even use my dads greenhouse to get them started. Anyone fancy hollyhock seeds for tomato seeds?
