Sheilaz
Well done to Fred, being the last to post on part 12! An interesting post, do go back & read it. Meanwhile Crazypeeps, here we are on part 13! Glad you're OK Fred, Auntie Sheila is proud of you for blocking the car driver but do take care. There, that should kill this topic nicely, after one post.

I remember when we didn't think we'd made it into double figures 2 of the lights have arrived The cheeky £5er one which I didn't know what it was, is a gobo rotator (projects words or images) and I've found one the same online for £70! Needs a new lamp and I'll but some gobos for it Just cooking some pasta for lunch and then we're going to the Hippodrome later - I got us some free tickets for the panto, Sleeping Beauty Young 'uns (under 26) can get them, so might be worth a look: night less ordinary

OK, I'm not under 26, but I know some peeps who are! Will def. look into it sometime, the offers include our local (1o miles Watford) rep. so fingers crossed. Good news about the gobos. I think. .....Goes off to ask Koojie what a gobo rotator is.

A gobo is a piece of metal with holes cut in, you shine a light through it and it projects the image The black and white ones: You can get anything on them, like your own logo and this one takes 35mm slides aswell The rotator is just the light and it turns the gobo round - Its really easy to do, just check availability and you book the tickets then need to take photo ID to collect them today (need to go before 6.30)

clootie
I'm just looking out my gold lame hotpants with matching platform thigh high boots for tonight's parents evening at my DDs school. This is the first one at this school so I really feel I should make the effort. Sadly DH won't be back in time for it which is a shame as I know he really wanted to wear his mankini. Never mind, there's always DS's 6th Form evening.

Space Chick
Wow part 13 Well done Fred on killing part 12, poor JJ though, she will be devastated. Oh Clootie - what delightful sounding outfits I really want to see the pictures, and can you recommend a good mankini supplier, as I reckon that would be ideal for Phil to wear at our next local community meeting. I, of course, will be wearing my boob tube, dancing leggings, and leg warmers I am experimenting with a new Fennel recipe tonight to go with our trout. Wish me luck edited for dreadful spelling, which really is not excusable! Edited January 21, 2010 by Guest

Valkyrie
A gobo rotator is when you spit at a fan and it goes around the room - very useful in hot summers.

Space Chick
It looks lovely Claire I really liked the fennel, Phil said it reminded him of pineapple It was steamed, then browned in butter and then braised in cider and cider vinegar with a little sugar and salt
PurpleTree
Doesn't fennel taste sort of aniseed-y? We just had fish and chips for tea, they were really yummy. I had curry sauce all over mine. Oliver's only just woken up from his nap so he's tucking in now, he always seems to be half an hour behind the rest of us. Dan's leaping around the room like a mad thing, to the old styley Batman theme tune music
