Does anybody ever feel.......Part # 13.

How's you Debs? Hatched any plans after reading your book?

Lewis by the time you get to my age you will be well versed in the art of moaning about something.

I was watching (from the warmth of the bedroom) the chickens - surprise surprise! Squirt obviously has read our minds about the bumper bit and has stopped chasing the other girls (and pecking us touch wood and whistle). She was wandering around with Mercedes today. Mini usually holds back but feels free to pounce on Tipsy - who is still a wuss and runs away (probably to hunt for Kitty to make sure she isn't completely at the bottom of the pecking order). The fat girls decided to jump up the dry stone walls, closely followed by Squirt and Mercedes. Tipsy was already in there having gone via the greenhouse. 4 in the beds and the little ones said move over, move over. So the pekins hopped up and joined the big girls. No sign of Kitty. Kitty was up the top grubbing up the border under the kitchen window quite engrossed in her search for goodies. She did join them later for a munch of sprouts.

Managed to clean the poo trays this afternoon. That should see them through the week when it's supposed to get better again.

Murray now has his new red Fiesta van. My red is a deeper cherry than his bright one. When I went to put the kettle on when we were all back here I popped into the utility. Movement caught my eye and Sky was in the greenhouse bathing in the bucket again. We've got chicken in a bucket I yelled out to Murray. He reckons it sounds so wrong - chicken in a bucket. Probably because we used to like to eat chicken in a basket with chips when on our walking holidays.

I never talk to myself, yes you do, no not when you are asleep I talk to you when you are awake though, see I told you, I know you see that's where I get to be right all the time. :anxious:

Ahem, morning everyone. Sun's up and I hope you lurgy lot are OK - I have the sniffles - I blame it on Ciaran spreading his rotten germs. Erin is more snuffly than me. Now where has that ginger gone. Just thought mum's ginger cake gave us colds! It's supposed to frighten lurgies away! :notalk:

Ciaran didn't go to bed last night - I think he's trying to get back to normal again.

Morning all! Lovely and sunny here too. Only 3 more sleeps til we go to Latvia :anxious: Packed the boys clothes yesterday, so they can't wear any of it before we go - Danny decided to dress himself in about 5 different tops the other day  Will and try and pack my stuff later, so it's done, and hubby's doing his tonight. Then I can relax - honest!

Got the name for the crafty swap  Must get busy with that.

Good news Claire.

Snowing here and the sun is back out again. Mini blizzard, but at least it blew over quickly. Have been in and out of the garden because Squirt wouldn't stop doing crow impersonations. But she has eventually laid an egg in the Eglu. I did try and put her in the cube and she faffed around and came out whingeing. In the end I told her I knew jolly well and it wasn't as if she never did it before. With that she marched in the eglu and all was quiet after that. :D Mercedes is in the nest box (in her favourite corner) at the moment. All we need is Kitty and Apache to perform and we will have the first ever 5 eggs in a day. But as Apache had 2 days in a row and a day off yesterday, she might decide to have 2 days off as well.

Poor Mini found some sunshine and tried to sunbathe (ugh roadkill chicken) but she just got in the way of bug hunting chickens, so she moved her spot 3 times and then the sun disappeared. Awwwwww.

Great news Claire! :D

It started snowing at break and in Business Studies today but didn't really settle :(

Got an A* for my report about customer services so Lewis was rather happy

We've started planning our next charity event for Sports Relief (19th March), our version on Britains Got Talent and I'm trying to get a Silver Arts Award so that'll be part of it :P - it's a bit live DofE but for the arts :)

Well done young fellamelad.

It's so lovely outside at the moment - and bright that I'm leaving the girls a bit longer before putting them to bed with their tea. No whingeing just yet. Yesterday they were rummaging around the veggie patch when I brought it out and no sign of queueing on the doorstep, so today we are definitely going later. First I'll take a sneaky peeky just in case. Once they hear me clattering around they'll be up like a shot - unless they're in the veggie patch just out of earshot. Thank goodness for the greenhouse muffling any sounds. :D

Debs might if she hasn't already got it - because of the hatching guide in it.

I think I'd better get a nosebag full of tissues - my nose is doing a marathon run at the moment.

Missed who??? :P

We only ended up with 4 eggs - 2 big and 2 little. Not bad - would have liked 5 so I could go whooohoo. Oh what the heck
