bluekarin
we are going to see Avatar tomorrow evening. It's had such good reviews that I think it is a must see on the big screen in 3D. The thing that annoys me about our cinema is the two showings are 2.30pm (kids are still at school) and 7.45pm which will finish about 11pm as the film is 162 minutes long and there are usually 20 mins of ads before hand. Makes you wonder who on earth they want to see the film. We wanted to go see it on Monday but the showing were 3.45pm (just getting out of school but couldn't get there in time) and 7.30pm (far too late on a school night). I will watch the link in a bit though. Trying to get the kids off to either bed or shower grrrr
Valkyrie
Tis definitely fab - and take some tissues for the sad bits - I don't sniffle, but had to fight it back and got a lump in my throat a fair few times. And action - and scenery - all wowowowowoWOW!
Ness3103
i've seen it twice in 3D and would definitely see it again and again. i can't wait for the dvd. i got a bit too involved though and had to stop myself shouting at the screen my poor son was getting very
Seagazer
I was talking to my MIL about it, she's not seen it yet. I said that you really start to care for the alien people. She kept saying you mean the cgi people. I said to her you just don't understand until you've been to see it.
fluffyfeet
Just got back from seeing this, one word sums it up. Awesome! One of the reviews I read said it is like the first time you saw the original Star Wars and you come out of the flicks gobsmacked - they were right on with that description. I think it will still be a good film on DVD as the storyline is brilliant, but to full appreciate the work that has gone into this film you really should see it in 3D. Might even go and see it again. Heartily recommended. Dawn x
bluekarin
We went to see this Friday night and it is excellent! You must see it on the big screen in 3D. It really didn't feel like a long film (may have had something to do with having the premier seats as a treat) and I loved every minute of it. Hubby and I also, at around the same point of the film, thought its really weird but I want the Aliens to beat the humans! Re: the original reason for this topic, finally clicked the link; very clever substituting the names and some dates.
