hillfamily
Just recieved my first pair of UGGS this morning & they are the most comfortable, snuggly wonderful thing I have ever worn on my feet Thanks Kate - I had thought about trying some for ages, but your post inspired me to go ahead & get some ..........my feet are very, very grateful Sorry to take the discussion back a bit but i've only just got around to reading this and I really want a pair of uggs to keep my little toes warm Sarah where did you get your uggs from - was it the link in your post to the website in Australia or did you find somewhere in the UK. I've googled uggs and have found too many websites to know where to start. If anyone else knows a reliable site to buy genuine uggs from i would love to know - perhaps we should start an Ugg topic Edit..what a good idea, I will! Mrs Frugal
I bought mine from a boutique in our High Street. Glad to hear you're pleased with yours Cinnamon! Lovely, aren't they!!
hillfamily
well i suppose Lincolnshire is a little closer than Australia will have to look next time I go to Brighton - lots of trendy shoe shops
Mrs Frugal
Sorry ! We have several trendy boutiques which sell things like that so maybe you have there too. Good luck. Try ebay too. They often have them but they also have copies which aren't as good (I know because I had copies last year - no comparison).
Cinnamon
I got mine from Australia, & they only took a week to arrive. Couldn't find anywhere local stocking them.......... There are some genuine UGGS on Ebay, but you need to trawl through the copies from China to find them They are a good size too - I am a 6 & the ones I have got fit like gloves. I love them but The Hubby says they look like little old lady boots (I got the short ones)
hillfamily
found some on ebay - never used ebay before but felt the time was right could only get short boots but that will do as i wear trousers all the time so won't show might try getting some from australia later in the year (when i saved uo my pennies again)
Cinnamon
Mine are the ultra-short ones to accommodate my chubby calfs, but I only ever wear bootcut jeans anyhow, which would be hard to tuck into a boot. Now I just need some very cold, very crisp.very dry weather so I can debut them
Lesley
They look like Cybermen boots to me - but very comfy! Do they have a good, grippy, sole?
hillfamily
i've never slipped over in them very very comfy as well and keep your toes toasty warm

I want a pair of the short ones too...
Mrs Frugal
I've got size 5s to match my feet and can wear nice thick towelling socks in them with no problems. Do spray them with some suede/sheepskin protector though as they will watermark if they get wet. Mine are the short ones which come to mid-calf. Cinnamon
I just ordered a 6 & hoped for the best really They are pretty fluffy inside, but that squishes down a lot with wear (I wore them into town this morning) They are quite generous on width too,& are so warm that I can't ever imagine needing to wear thick socks with them I got the "New Boots" ,as seen in this link - They look great with my jeans & my long knitted cardi/coat thing http://www.uggstore.com.au/product_info.php?currency=GBP&products_id=

chelsea
I didnt realise they were so cheap Why did I think they were over £100?!
Cinnamon
The long ones are more expensive,as they use more sheep Also if you want to get them from the Uggstore in Aus,then there is also about £8 shipping. A worthwhile investment, though
Mrs Frugal
These are the ones I've got but mine are in a sandy colour and they were £130 in the little boutique in town. If I'd known they did cheaper ones, I'd have got them instead!!
myles
Alyssa wants some of these in black. Did you have to pay import duty on them Sarah . I got done really badly at christmas time. cost me a fortune in tax and handling fees Anne
Cinnamon
No, I din't have to pay any import duty. Not sure why,as I am sure they must have been over the upper limit. I have been victim to import tax before, too. Those choccy brown ones are gorgeous,Kate.
myles
Were they marked as a gift i think you've got a £36 allowance for pressies and if they under value the goods on their customs declaration that helps. But no guaranties. I might give it a go. Anne

Charlottechicken
I am shocked (in a nice way!) that your boots were so cheap, Sarah. I too have only seen the more expensive boots. These look like a good entry level Ugg boot Might have to think about treating myself A question for those who already have them though, do your socks work their way off your feet whilst wearing the boots, and bunch up at your toes ? I also have 2 pairs of mock Ugg style boots and one pair went to the charity shop as this kept happening and I couldn't wear them out
Mrs Frugal
Yes, they do!! I wear thick woolly tights in winter and I end up with a big lump under one foot! Glad it's not just me !!
chelsea
Oooh! lots of colours on that site Mandy - Pink ones, Purple ones...... They are more expensive though Purple eglu owners could get purple boots to match !!
Lesley
I'd have to buy the purple boots then - and then buy the Eglu to match
