Lesley
We've had so much rain here that half the farm is like a swamp. I went out with Jake this afternoon to collect the eggs..................I had my reading glasses on a cord around my neck, underneath my fleece jacket ......................................... I have just gone to read something - only one lens in my glasses I went everywhere earlier - we went to say hello to the sheep, we went to see if we could find any blackbird feathers, we came back via all the mud filled tractor ruts, I leant on the trampoline as 6'2" son 'bunny hopped' on it, followed closely by Jake and Jazz - also 'bunny hopping' , I went into 5 separate runs to look for eggs, we moved the rabbits to a new home in an Eglu inside the ducks run area................................................... .................................. and - all these areas are so muddy Then, I came in and cooked Lauren and Jake's dinner - traipsed around from fridge to cooker etc...... We've just been out with two torches and retraced my steps - and I found it!!! I'm just so glad I don't wear contacts

Beauty-Box
Well done on finding the lens. I used to wear contact lenses before I had laser eye surgery. I used to drop them all the time, and if one falls out while you are in the bath, forget it!!

Guest
I'm just so glad I don't wear contacts Once, many years ago, my mum and I helped to pick strawberries for our local hospices' Strawberry Fair. At one point, one of the chaps that was with us lost his contact lens amongst the strawberry plants, and after searching, it was deemed lost for ever. The next day while we were cleaning and hulling the strawberries, lo and behold, there was his contact lens, nestled in a punnet of stawberries! Lesley
I'm a Motown fan as well Dan It must be time for more rain? - it's almost dried up out here and was quite pleasant going round today with Clare and Rosie.
Happymama
Our garden was a mudbath until Christmas eve, and then I vowed not to let the dogs out in it again, but to walk them down the bridle path every time. Now it's such a mass of wormcasts, it looks positively wooly! (The lurcher would go round and round and round and round and round) The house has been a lot less dusty too, since the ban came into effect. It's been incredibly dry this last year, though. AXH (Almost eX Husband) works for Northumbrian Water, and they should know. Ask the potato growers!
