Well I have exceeded my 5 a day by some considerable margin

Apple juice with the Susan and Peri egg Mushroom Omelette I had for breakfast.

Chicken stew for lunch, which had really thick chunks of leek, carrots, swede, onions and parsnips in it as it was homemade, also had some pearl barley in it which may or may not count.

Now for tea I have had 2 organic sausages with mashed swede, carrots and broccoli :D (and some Donna egg yorkshire puddings and gravy but thats not as good  )

5 a day-tastic me :P

I was reading an article in mum's paper (read with a pinch of salt) but apparently women who don't get enough sleep at night do indeed pile on the pounds. Disturbed sleep less than 7.5-8 hours can lead to weight gain of up to 2lbs a night! Snoring husbands are often to blame - in my case I'm inclined to agree. Plus women sleep lightly, those with children listen out for them (or in my case I am woken up by midnight sorties and feasts and banging of doors and cupboards). Women who snore wake themselves up (not noticed that with MIL). Well there we have it. At last here is my excuse. I'm running on about 5 hours with broken sleep!

Ah but at fat club we were told if you go to bed hungry you don't sleep and then you feel sluggish next day and your metabolism goes right down and you don't burn the calories. So you should have something in the evening and you'll sleep better. For me its the low fat ovaltine drink yum my chocolate fix.

Talking about chocolate I was given two pieces today and only ate one!!! That is a first :lol:
