Chicken bald back

Went into Bernados yesterday and saw this stand, I think its a towel rack or something but to me it screamed out 'chicken perches'

This is how it was, but it also had a bar along the top which i took off

 

I added some pipe insulation and taped it to make the 'perches' bigger

 

Obviously the girls havent used it yet, they are waiting to make sure its not going to explode or turn into a giant chicken eating monster!

 

Cost £4. for rail and £2. for pipe covering = Bargain!

I bought 2 wooden broom handles today in Wilkinsons at £1.10 each that have gone though the mesh in the WIR, although no-one has been brave enough to use them yet

Meant to ask you ANH, I presume from your photos that the weldmesh stands up to the pressure well?

Ooh, you might be on to something there! I need to go to Ikea to purchase the utensil rack to hang the Glug and Grub from ... one of these might fall into my trolley as well.

Sorry Sandie . Yes, SC, it seems OK so far. The wire has bent slightly but hasn't broken or look like it's going to. (We'll see after a few more overnight stays though .)
