Cinnamon
After a run of bad luck with our new flock of Bantams,we have had our first egg today, from Sherbet the Lemon Pekin. It is so sweet, & very little, but perfectly formed Cleo is delighted, as she has been so upset at loosing Smartie last week- this has sort of made up for it a bit
Jools
They are so cute aren't they - and very delicious too with massive yolks and very little white. Feb 14th is supposed to be the day that hens come back into lay after the winter break - something to do with day light hours I think. I've been down to the run pointing this out to two of mine - they are reddening up a bit but no signs of laying yet. Good job Dixie 3 didn't stop and Dixie 4 and Boeing started again a week or so ago. Hope Cleo enjoys her little treasure

Snowy
Well done to Sherbet! Although Bella is not a bantam, she does lay dinky little eggs compared to the s. Pure white, exactly 40g every time, with huge yellow yolks. Delicious - The flavour seems to be more concentrated somehow!
