chick wiggle
My bluebelle, Pumpkin has been limping since sunday. I was hoping she'd just knocked or twisted her leg or something simple like that, and it would get better all on its own. Obviously, no such luck. Im taking her to the vets tonight. I've just brought her in, giving her a lovely bath and blow dry ( which she loves by the way) hoping again i would see somthing obvious but no. So, she is now in the kitchen where its lovely and warm, shes 3/4 in the pet carrier with her bum hanging over the door , shes had a bit of corn and she has water. My question is, will she be ok there until i take her to the vets at 6 o'clock tonight or should i put her back with the others? I didnt know wether she would be better warm and relaxed in the kitchen on her own or not
Space Chick
I reckon she will be fine in there for a few hours. Hope she is OK, sending her healing hugs xx

Falkor
Hey u. I am sure she will be fine indoors with you until you take her to the vets. It will keep her off the leg too Sorry I can`t help with what's wrong but just thought I would add my experiences. When Gin tripped on the log edging she had a limp for quite some time. It took about three weeks for her to be "right" again. As I saw her trip and could not feel any breaks I decided against taking her to the vets but I did move her out of the cube and into the with half of the run. She was on "bed rest" (like CookieMonster has been ) as it can take a fair while for muscles to repair themselves fully. I understand that you must be worried though and taking her to the vets is the best bet I reckon. Even though I knew what Gin had done I had every visitor to the house come out into the garden and feel her legs to see if they thought one was hotter than the other or could feel a break that I had missed. Redwing assisted me by torch light as I recall and I the window cleaner thought I was a little odd when I asked him to feel my chicken legs I bet she feels better for her soak and blow dry, I know I always do let us know how you get on at the vets. chick wiggle
I hope you have a very understanding window cleaner Em Well, Gins story really is hopeful then, I really cant feel anything or see anything wrong but then im no expert so fingers crossed he wont find anything either. Also, luckily, i have my spare ebay bargain should she need seperate rest and recuperation
chick wiggle
Well, Pumpkin is still with us, phew! The vet couldnt find any broken bones so has given her some Loxicom for imflamation and some Baytril too. She is sleeping in the kitchen in the pet carrier tonight and will go back in the run, seperated, tomorro. Lets just hope these work and she gets better. How long is the withdrawal for Baytril? Space Chick
That is good news I believe the egg withdrawal is during the baytril and then 7 days after.
chick wiggle
Thats what i thought Debs, just gonna have to keep her seperated until i can definately identify her eggs I dont want to have to throw away half a dozen eggs a day as i can only truly identify half of the girls eggs
