Most people will disagree with me now but this is how I work out how many birds.

2m x 1m = 2/3 Big Hens 3/5 Bantams

So 5m x 1m (roughly) could hold 9/10 bantams? You have 5 Bantams and 1 LF, lets call it 7 Bantams. So yes, I think you could add 2/3 medium/small bantams quite easily if you follow a slow introduction process

:D

I have 14 in a 7m cube choo choo train with free ranging and have no problems (apart from more broodies than I can break  )

My train, like yours has perches, tables and also one of the extension has a sqaure rabbit run in it so they have an upstairs/downstairs section.

My lot also tend to "hang out" together so only seem to use 2m at a time but never then same 2m

I would recommend additional nestboxes if increasing chook numbers as i had ques and extreme silkie screeching as a result  I use plastic cat boxes :)

As Tom has said and I agree....it is all about the introductions!!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on spare door panels so I put a door in the last metre of extension and pop the newbies in there with a little wooden house and let introductions take as long as need be

OOOHHHH Bantie dottes! What colours!!!!! :P

I have one spare side run, which I thought I could use to split the train with the newbies and ark in one side. Initially they can sit in the ark next to the cube. I'm planning a two week intro and then I have a 3 week holiday so I can supervise them!

Dotties possibly: a partridge and buff laced, I have a silver laced and a blue laced.
