ubereglu
Hiya, Can anyone tell me how big the winter shades are? I know they cover the whole run, but what are the measurements. I want to try and make an alternative one! Either that or does anyone have a spare/old/unused ikea shower curtain they're willing to give me? Egluntyne
I'm sure I've got one in the shed. Let me have a look tomorrow. **Note to self...look for shower curtain tomorrow**
The Dogmother
I've got some Liz, but they're packed up in boxes and at Phil's house at the moment - sorry. We need to go to IKEA soon though, so if no-one else has one I can get one for you. Have you tried in local hardware stores? You will find that you need to cut long thin triangles off the end that is nearest to the eglu. If you look in my album link, there are some pix there I think. Chicken Licken
Or just fold the ends under . My girls are currently underneath a tesco shower curtain!! The Ikea one broke in the strong winds, the girls don't seem to mind and fingers crossed will be moving into a newly constructed bigger run next week end ( fingers crossed)
Egluntyne
One plain Ikea Shower curtain found in shed. It's yours if you want it. PM me with details...but check that it's OK to do so first with your folks.
ubereglu
Well I went to the local s"Ooops, word censored!"store this morning and found some plastic which is perfect for a run cover! It's clear too. So thanks for all the offers, but I don't need it! Just a quick question...How do you attach the cover onto the run? What sort of clips do you need? ubereglu
Thanks for that Clare! I will have a go at making some. I'm sure we have some elastic somewhere and some s"Ooops, word censored!" metal I can bend to that shape. A job to do tomorrow! My list is growing! The Dogmother
You remind me of my old Brown Owl when I was a Brownie, she used to say 'A Brownie is never bored' Too right - I am the same and always have something to do. Rosie has just started saying 'I am bored' all the time. I soon find her something to do!

The Dogmother
Perhaps we ought to have a 'general exchange' area then I'm not going ot IKEA for a while, but will happily let people know and take orders if I am going.
Christian
I'm banned from Ikea! Last time I went in for tea lights and spent £600 OH won't let me go unaccompanied General exchange sounds like a good idea Clare

The Dogmother
I blame it on that 'market place'; things just leap off the shelves into my trolley
Christian
For me its wooden boxes and coat hangers! I hate wire/plastic ones. When i met OH i binned all his hangers and replaced them with wooden ones! OCD freak that I am! He still went out with me and 3 years on we're living in the country with chickens
