Geoid
I was in Asda the other day, looking for T-Discs for my tassimo machine, I found them and saw to my amazement that 16 discs where only £1 instead of the usual £3.99 Since I had a voucher for £3.99 worth of T-discs, I got 64 discs for 1p
Cinnamon
Brilliant - shame it would cost me more in petrol to get to Asda than I would save I LOVE my Tassimo
fluffyknickers
OOOh really! I need to stock up so better get myself there.
Falkor
Are they REALLY good? I had the kenco pod machine which was rubbish IMO - the coffee was not nice so I went back to my perc and carbooted the kenco machine. The range of pods look good on the Tassimo but is the coffee as good as "proper" coffee?
fluffyknickers
Well...I dont drink coffee which is why I got the tassimo because you can do hot choc and other drinks like herbal teas. HUsband and guests have the coffee from it like cappucino, lattee, american, espresso - and have never moaned. Michelle

The flavour's fine, but there are SO many buts! OH had one when I first met him. I thought he was insane for spending out a small fortune on the machine, and then another small fortune on the pods for quite small cups of coffee which taste no better than good filter coffee. But what really enrages me is the packaging. Most of a box of tassimo gubbins is packaging. You have an unrecyclable pod and lid every time you make a drink which you can't easily pull apart to recycle the organic coffee matter inside. I think they are consumer, earth-wrecking excess at its worse. We now have a bog standard multi-cup filter coffee maker which cuts the evil plastic packaging down to zero, and a fabulous bean dealer. Fast, flavourful coffee and not ruining the planet or costing us a fortune.

Not so,actually You can go to Terracycle & they send you a box, free of charge to put the complete pods in,then you post it back, again free of charge,& they send you another. The boxes are really strong,& have a special slot in the top just for the discs, they also come in many different sizes. They then turn the pods into useful stuff It is a fantastic service More info here : http://www.terracycle.co.uk/ And IMHO,the coffee tastes amazing, especially the kenco blend made into Cappucino
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Is that a new scheme? I suppose it's an improvement, but it would be better to make something that could just be disposed of without extra road miles wouldn't it? Cinnamon
Its been running for about 6 months I think. I guess road miles are involved,as they are for recycling or manufacturing anything, really
