So Mr Frutti and I disagree...

 

When we first got the girls, they had grass in their run and of course DESTROYED it. Mr Frutti says it's cos it was a LITTLE area and they dug it up and turned it over.

 

So now Mr Frutti's thinking about our lawn (ex lawn, it has ceased to be). Actually it was more moss than grass and he'd given it a thorough raking so the girls had a field day and now it's all gone.

 

Mr Frutti now wants to turf it and says, because it's bigger than their run (but only about 16m2 - not big), their scratching will be spread out so won't be fatal. He thinks they'll just keep it neatly trimmed and save him mowing the lawn!

 

I say, they'll scratch and dig it up and to put the netting back to limit their FR access!

 

Does anyone have any words of wisdom for me (ahem, HIM) please?!! Thanks!

My OH thought that we would never need to use the lawnmower again, he was right but not for the reason he thought

 

He planted grass seed last week, they even ate the seed

 

I think we are destined to never have grass again

Nahhhh, I say let them roam, they will neatly trim the lawn, give lovely sharp edges to the flower beds and even leave stripes running up and down the lush verdant green grass.

No experience personally (no grass) but went to visit a forum member and she once had grass too nothing left ......i mean nothing... just bare mud

I can just picture your girls lined up with their running lanes marked out, with them alternating their top and tail starts so they give you your perfect lines! Well I can picture it anyway

 

And hang on a mo... I've never EVER had lines - even WITH a lawnmower

And can anyone spot the size difference between my Euphorbia, lavender and rosemary?!

 

Can't wait for the summer to uncover the BBQ and chiminea and have wine on the decking on a warm summer's evening
