half dozen Posted March 30, 2010 Share Posted March 30, 2010 Me and my 8 year old daughter have just VERY sucessfully candled 5 of our 10 eggs wow Im amazed at how much you see!!! 4 out of the 5 had loads of veins,you can see the chicks and we even saw the chicks moving around!!!! half dozen Posted April 2, 2010 Author Share Posted April 2, 2010 I have candled them using a strong pen torch whilst the eggs were sat in an egg tray. (in the downstairs loo in total darkness). The welsummer eggs you can see the air sacs and some veins but obviously no where as clear as the whiter shells!! Time cant go quick enough at this end!!!!
