Wantchooks
I have looked at the poo thread and can't find a picture of black! My girls don't free range, eat mash, have corn/greens as a treat and we have had them for 6 weeks. Have had all variations of brown to yellow poo, but DH has been looking after them this week while I have been away and he has told me that today all of them have started to do firm black poos. I have tried to search on the forum but can't find anything about black poo. Anyone help?

Wantchooks
Nope! DH sat down with a glass of wine and perused the lot declaring nothing like them!
sjp
is there any soil in the run?
Snowy
Most changes are down to something they've eaten. See what they are like tomorrow - you will probably find that they are back to normal again. Sounds like something they have all eaten - if they were ill, I would expect one to get it first, then for it to pass to the others
Plum
Slugs, frogs? Could be digested blood? What about a picture ?
Lydia
Mine do black poos when they've eaten raisins or currants. Could that be it?
Wantchooks
They've not had access to anything suggested above - the next day after DH let them free range accidentally in the garden, we were presented with beautiful deep turquoise poos! All back to normal now though!
Plum
Is this something to do with you posting on April 1st
Sarahsausage
Mine occasionally do black poops so I wouldn't worry, they're awful to clean up though and stink to high heaven!
