TheChookKeeper Posted April 3, 2010 Share Posted April 3, 2010 I came home on Thursday after work, and went to put the ducks away as normal... on the way back in, I check the chooks egg-port and remove any late eggs from the day. Imagine my surprise, when I opened up the egg port, and found this: Just for your reference, that is a box of chicken eggs - and the white one at the front is from the duck... this whopper is easily twice the size of the duck egg! After I had got myself back up off the floor, and after several expressions of sheer horror (and delight) and my poor chicken, so appeared to have passed something almost as big as her... I returned indoors. It was then that it began to dawn on me... it's April Fools Day. My sister (with whom I live) had no idea about it - and was as shocked as I, so on the phone I went to my parents... After several minutes of grilling - it would seem that my dad had broken into our garden during the day when we were both at work... and secreted a whopper of a goose egg in with the chickens!
