CrazyDaizy
Hello, I have just recieved Nettex antifeather pecking spray and sprayed it on our two bald chooks bottoms in the hope that they will one day grow some proper knickers and maybe a tail.... Anyways, firstly we stained the sink brown and had to used bleach to get it off when we tested that it worked, stupid idea and then proceeded to turn our lovely white chicken, Malibu, a odd shade of brown in her bald areas. When does this wash off?? Because of my poor aim i've dyed most of her rear end brown. And does it work? We are going to have to spray them again before it will show any sign of working. Im not sure they enjoyed the first coat but hopefully Amber won't decide to feast on their feather any more.
Eggasperated
I've used Nettex and Ukadex and unfortunately none of it seemed to work on my three but I think that's just them . The brown does wear off eventually, luckily mine are Black Rock so it didn't really show too much; I always try to spray mine either outdoors wrapped in an old towel or in a large deep cardboard box so I don't get it up the walls Good Luck with stopping the feather feasting. Ness3103
i haven't used nettex but i have used ukadex, it worked for about an hour i resorted to bumper bits in the end . i also managed to cover myself and the eglu in ukadex which was really awful, i've purple sprayed everything but the blimin chicken too good luck, hopefully it'll do the trick x
abwsco
I used net tex but my feather eater is now in solitary as it worked for about ten minutes.
CrazyDaizy
Nettex does not seem to be working Do you think we should isolate our Feather Plucker!! The other two chooks are going to be bald. I cannot believe the Feather Plucker does this at night, and I've even caught her sometimes during the day... though not very often, she's crafty!! It must really hurt the other two, to have this done to them!! Any ideas on where to isolate the Feather Plucker? The other two will use the Eglu. But does this mean they will ALWAYS have to be isolated? The Feather Plucker has such beautiful feathers!!
