Im really pleased for you all Debs - what a great start Harry will get to secondary school.

 

Settling in there will be so much easier knowing he has his friends to go with and smile at in class instead of a sea of strange faces!

Harry has arranged to walk to school with some of his friends. Almost all his class are going to the same school

 

So he won't be on his own

Hopefully he will be able to cycle once he's settled in. Trouble is, the only route to that school is down a steep hill so, I'll be having kittens the first time he does it on his own

I've really got to start letting him pop to the local shop on his own. The apron strings are as bit tight I'm afraid.

In July Lukes class have a Mon-Fri class journey to I.O.W , so they something to look forward to & I have a week of trying not to worry..

Only just caught up with this thread after the weekend, but great news Debs and Dan, and well done to Harry

It's quite scary letting them out on their own at first isn't it

 

Harry was allowed out with his friend last summer. They cycled round the block and to the local shops

 

They are both kept under pretty tight time restrictions and have to be back home at a given time and just 'clock-in' every now and then just to know they are safe and they both have phones with them

 

Harry is really itching to get out on his bike again now the nights are getting lighter and the weather a bit better

 

I have told him he will have to have a trial run at walking to school, just so he is familiar with it
