Seagazer
Lovely photos Lewis We were at the Rare Breeds Centre near Ashford last week (lots of lovely chickens) and they had some ewes that were in various stages of lambing. One had only just had her little lamb, who was stumbling around trying to stand up. My little nephew was looking at the ewe and asking what all the dangling bits were so he had a little lesson in lambing. They were so beautiful. Lewis
My little nephew was looking at the ewe and asking what all the dangling bits were so he had a little lesson in lambing. They were so beautiful. One of the farmers friends was asking about sheep 'piggy backs' so had a lesson ... then told the rest of his Reception class at school the next day

Lewis
Which breed are the lambs Lewis? Ewes are Welsh Mules (Welsh Mountain X Bluefaced Leicester) and the rams/tups are Charollais They have just pedigree Charollais too which they show + breed, but they have a different 'year' so the lambs are all born in January. Only got old photos of them: - want some?
Lesley
No thank you! - 4 bottle fed lambs are quite enough! We're trying to get back to pure Shetlands - looking for a local'ish Shetland Ram to borrow in November.
