l_ouise
Hello. One of my POL chickens has been doing these orange egg smelling (we presume it is from these poos) foamy poos. I have had a look at several poos on a website and i think it said that this kind of poo might mean worms. I have been worming them for the last three days with some natural organic worming liquid in their water and after the three consecutive days these poos are still present. They have been with me for nearly a week and they haven't yet started laying. They are all hybrids from different breeders but they are all apparantly fully vaccinated and i didn't have any reason not to believe them. All the birds seems to be very happy with one another. What might be the cause? Should i carry on worming them? Would the other chickens be ok on extra wormer? Thanks
Ain't Nobody Here
Flubenvet is the wormer which most Omleteers would recommend. Do a search on the forum and you'll get loads of info about it .
Egluntyne
Cuuld just be a bit of stress associated with the recent move. I'd cut out all treats and just give them pellets and water and if you wish, some probiotic yoghurt and Bokashi Bran for a few days. That generally sorts out the squitts. l_ouise
Thanks for the replies Still giving the same poo, i'll give a few more day and see. I don't really give them treats yet.
Guest
is it every poo she does? They do do curry coloured (I nearly said flavoured then!) poos every so often, it's from their caecal gland and is normal. If it's every single time then I'd follow the advice given. see this link... http://www.thepoultrysite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10087
