Advice please! Is there a problem?

When I bought my girls, I was told they would be several weeks off laying...

I've not even had them three weeks and two days ago we found a deformed softie in the eglu litter tray. We've no idea who did it but since the day we found it, Suki has been very vocal in the mornings. The same morning, she got very agitated and very vocal (making noises I've not heard her make before) so I put her back in the eglu and she settled down. When she came out later, she was fine.

She has done this every day since then...she gets very loud, goes back into the eglu for 40 minutes, then is her normal self for the rest of the day. No eggs have been found since.

Is she ok? Is her body just getting ready? or should I be concerned?

Other than this brief moment, she's bright, alert and her normal cheeky self. Her comb has developed greatly in the past week, as has Toph's...they're both red and 'defined', Suki's definitely more so...Toph has shown no sign of laying.

They were still on Growers mash when the first egg was laid (as I was told they were still a while from laying) and had only just started introducing small amounts of Layers mash....I've now reversed this, they're on about 80:20 Layers to Growers....is this ok or should I cut out the Growers now?

:anxious::think::?

Many thanks!!

Thanks for the reply - They're between 18 and 19 weeks approx.

Toph appears to have laid a soft one... it was in the poo tray. I assume it was hers as it's where I last saw her sat (when Suki had her routine shout and nesting session, Toph sat just inside the eglu door...)

She's since had done a very watery white poo... :(:? Is she ok? I've looked her over and she seems fine, she's bright and has been scratching round the garden as normal.

Is it ok that it's been a few days between the soft eggs?

It's just their systems getting into the swing of things as christian said. If they are behaving normally, don't worry. Definitely put them onto 100% layers pellets. These contain all the nutrients they require for healthy egg and shell production. :D
