Hi All, :lol:

I know that a first egg is a big thing anyway but this is from my Selma :dance::dance::dance:

As you will see from my signature I bought Selma and her sister Patty together and Patty died in a distressed state 10 days later after laying her first egg. I was so sure Selma would go the same way. The egg is quite pointy but a good shell. It had some blood on it, is that OK?

I am still keeping Selma away from my GNR's during the day but they seem to like being all together at night. They give her hell during the day!

Thanks to everyone for support given since Patty died.

Occasionally my girls lay eggs with a blood smear on them. I seem to remember that if it happens on a regular basis, that you should feed them some bread soaked in Olive Oil, and that helps with whatever the problem is.

Well done on her first egg though!! :D:D:D:D:D

Well Done Selma :dance::dance::clap: :clap:

Good news Sal :D:D

Don't worry....your other girls will eventually accept Selma. I introduced 2 new girls last September and I'm now doing it again. Even though I've done this before I was still really worried about our new girls today as Twinkle was having a right go at Annie but no harm was done and I just had to reassure myself that this time so far is no different to the last.

Just hang in there..........
