The Dogmother
I can get Ruby to talk to me too. She was very interested when I played this to Rosie last night; I had to reassure her that the puppy was OK. Talking of puppies, you may remember a friend's GSD who had 11 pups last year... it was her first litter and they weren't going to breed her again this year, but she was a brilliant mum, and they had so many requests for one of her pups... sooo, she's due again any day now (this is positively her last litter). I am on call to go and kiss/sniff their ears
Rhapsody
When the Lloyds TSB ad comes on, you know the one with the " Oh oh oh oh oh oh..." soprano, Zeus sings along although with his big floppy face it comes out as "Ahwawawawawawawaawoooooo" I must vid it, it never gets boring. Space Chick
We had a Shetland Sheepdog when I was growing up, lovely dog he was, when the theme tune for Coronation Street came on he would howl

Yorkshire Pudding
My mega-moggy Angus was most interested in that clip - he looked everywhere for the wolf! The human voice interested him more than the cub, strangely - I would've thought it would be the other way around, though of course the cub didn't sound too scary! chickencam
I haven't played these clips because my moggies are sound asleep in the same room. they completely freak if we play the clips of cats talking on youtube
Old Speckled Hen
A wolf's howl is like our fingerprint; no two the same and each howl identifying its maker. There are a vast number of types of howl as well, depending on what the wolves want to communicate. Fascinating stuff and absolutely hair raising to see it in a baby. Thanks for posting this,Claret. I once took a five day husky safari in Sweden. We had our own teams and were responsible for looking after them. At the end of the day having been fed and bedded down on the frozen ground, one would start singing and the whole lot would join in; 30 or so huskies howling in the dusk ......... magic. Seagazer
That sounds fantastic OSH, we'd love to do something like that. I've been on a husky ride in Lapland, but to be able to look after them would be brilliant. ~My ES adores huskies and wolves.
