I know how brilliant you lot are when it comes to inspiration for Fancy Dress costumes so I hope you don't mind my picking your brains again.

 

DS is off to Iceland (in theory anyway ) at the end of the month. Whilst they are there they are having a Fancy Dress party and the theme is "All around the world". Whatever he chooses will have to be fairly light so that he can pack it easily. The ony thought that I came up with was a Hawaiian shirt and shorts but I suspect that this may be a popular choice.

Mexican - poncho, jeans & hat

 

Australian - hat with corks & a stuffed toy kangaroo

 

France - striped t-shirt, beret & a bagette

 

Peru - duffle coat, red hat, wellies & a 'please look after this bear; sign!

Take some empty frozen produce packaging and some carrier bags and he can say he's a local from Iceland

I'd go as the Internet- just a sticker on head with 'www. com' on it. Now that'd be easy to pack!

Smudge your faces with soot (volcanic ash might be a little hard to get hold of) and take a couple of placards saying "flight cancelled".

Tailored suit, white t-shirt and sunglasses = Italy (Milan)

Jeans, checked shirt, stetson hat and cowboy boots = US of A

Ski suit, poles and bobble hat = Austria

White bedsheet with cut for head, checked t-towel on head = Saudi Arabia

Very tight red skinny jeans, slogan/manga-style t-shirt and latest electronic gadget = Japan

Loose trousers tucked into boots, loose white shirt, waistcoat and fur hat = Ukraine (Cossack costume)

Car Rallying Suit = Finland

 

There's a few ideas to be going on with. This is fun!
