Mmmmm, I think I have caught a strong dose of chickenitis! No known cure I believe .

 

My hen empire has expanded to fill a fifth of our garden. I only started with 4 in a little coop. What you can see are the main abode, usually home to 8 and the netted area usually bigger, now it reduced to create the separate area to three broody hens. Jenny is in the Forsham ark sitting on 3 silkie eggs - due any day, but I'm not hopeful. Doily and Princess Layer are broody together in the eglu, they went broody together and seem to like each others company, although do try and pinch each other eggs (4 pencilled wyandotte bantam eggs all fertile ) and due next weekend. I would like to keep two hens from the chicks if they hatch successfully.

 

My next plan is to move house to get a bigger garden for the girls OH already complains that each egg laid cost a small fortune, little does he know they'll be Faberge in the end. I must go and lie down and think of something other than chickens!

Setup looks great - and if that's only a fifth of your garden, surely you have plenty more room for a few more
