Valkyrie
He had bruising to the back of his head and his tooth went through his lip. Luckily GF was unharmed but both very shocked. They had been followed through the village by these lads. There's nothing of Ciaran and as I've seen a pic of this lad on FB - he's twice the size! Plus Ciaran isn't that good at self defence - he will swing and miss. About 4/5 years ago Erin had her hair set on fire when she got off the school bus. Common assault and a mobile phone was confiscated for evidence - and nothing happened there either. I really hate living here I can tell you. Ciaran is just angry that these people get away with it all the time. One of these days people will take the law into their own hands because the law - as it stands - seems to look the other way. And if we want to persue these oiks I can see a right old vendetta waged against us, so fear makes us stand back too. Shouldn't be like that. And they shouldn't get away with vandalism either - person or property - they should be made to pay.

Valkyrie
Thankies - amazing the things that go on in a village. Pretty much the same everywhere I'm afraid - village, town or city. Actually I might just have a word with Mr Arbuthnott seeing as he owes me a swim in his pool that we all coughed up to clean. I still haven't got round to asking to borrow "our" chainsaw - maybe I could do that at the same time.

Looney
Sorry to hear about your car Egluntine, such a pointless act resulting in hassle for you We went to a wedding a couple of years ago in Newcastle and a friend parked his car in the hotel car park the night before (we were staying there!) and in the morning it was totally trashed. Windows smashed, big dents in the body where bricks had been thrown at it. Disgusting, pointless vandalism as they hadn't actually tried to steal anything. What made it worse was that corner of the car park wasn't covered by the CCTV - I guess the vandals knew that Koojie, that is terrible about your son and his girlfriend. I would be too frightened to go out alone, and even being with someone doesn't guarantee safety it seems A small minority of people really can make life miserable for everyone else. Valkyrie
Ciaran is a much happier bunny lately, thankies peeps, although the case has been pushed aside. Chatting with my neighbour today she knows who one of the guys is - same as Ciaran knows as this boy/man who is now 22/23 has always been known as a nasty piece of work - he was in the same year as her son. Breathe deep and think Karma. How's your vandalism investigation going Eglunyne?
Egluntyne
How's your vandalism investigation going Eglunyne? Ground to a halt. Much as I'd like to bring back hanging on this one, realistically, there is no point wasting any energy on it. I believe in karma too, so know the little oiks will get what's coming one day. Car fixed now. Super service from Autoglass.
The Dogmother
Gah! Only just caught up with this. I totally sympathise with both of you; we get a fair amount of wanton car vandalism around here and the police have only managed to catch the perps once in 15 years. Usually they are drunk, but that doesn't excuse the crime.
