Snowy
I haven't had much time to craft lately so not sure what to bring. Was wondering if anyone fancies having a go at glass painting? I can provide the paints and some patterns, if people want to bring some glassware or acetate sheets to have a go on?

What time will you all be surfacing at the cottage? What time do you want us there?
Plum
They'll probably be up all night gossiping so perhaps we'll get there and feed her chooks, stroke the cat and wake them up to sizzling bacon and orange juice Good luck at the show
Omletina Kyckling
We should be up and about from about 9 so any time after that would be fab..... We've already been muchly busy, we've built an Ikea desk and upholstered my window seat.....they are paying for their board!! Cathy Couperwife made the mistake of saying her degree was in engineering so I've had her sawing with a jigsaw, drilling holes in the wall etc!! The gin and tonics are flowing well now.... mostin
I am just back from my day of drinking tea, gossiping and of course..........crafting . It is a lovely cottage Diane, and I hope we warmed it well for you. It was great to meet your mum and the rest of the usual gang plus a couple of people I had not yet met in "real life" before . The puss cats were gorge too, and I hope Ludvig didn't mind being mauled by me every time I walked past him . I had a go at glass painting today. We all sat outside in the sun and painted on jars and glasses. I am not artistic at all, but I really enjoyed it. It was really soothing to do, and we all went really quiet as we had to concentrate . thank you Snowy for bringing all the equipment for it. Thanks for putting up with us all, and feeding us and supplying all the tea I'll take a photo of my efforts soon and put it on here. I'm sure there will be other photos soon. We were all drooling over the quilts made by Plum, and Omletina was trying to nick Snowy's crocheted blanket .
Plum
Was a great day a real therapy. Good company, chooks, lovely location and chatter surrounded by more chickenalia than anyone can collect in a lifetime No idea what Aimee is doing here She may have been inspecting her thong. Diane's mum and Cathy (Couperwife) knitting leaves The Artisan (Mostin) The Artisan again and Egluntyne's bum Snowy our tutor and Diane I am ridiculously proud of my effort which was done by bodging This lovely chook is settling in well with mine That sent Diane running down the garden Thank you all for a great day Edited August 22, 2010 by Guest
Couperwife
Aimees thong was lovely she made it all on her own it was a fab weekend - it was lovely meeting new omleteers and re-meeting friends cathy x
Aimee
Thank you all so much for a lovely time - you were all so welcoming and helpful and I really enjoyed myself. I was very impressed by your creative talents and can't wait to put some ideas into motion. I mabe the fatal error though of detouring via the local craft shop later on for a look...... Came away £38 lighter with a vast array of beads and (cough) thongs. I know what my department will be receiving this year as christmas gifts Also picked up a cute sewing box to store above items and some gorgeous chicken ribbon, for which I have no ideas but couldn't resist. If needs be I'll just tie it in my hair. Thanks again. I hope I behaved myself enough to be invited back.
