I was bought a pedicure at our local salon as a birthday treat, I had it done earlier this evening with the varnish being applied just before 7pm. The varnish is still tacky - surely this can't be right? Its nearly 10 o'clock I'm going to have to go to bed with my feet hanging out the side so it doesn't smudge

 

Hope its dry in the morning or I'll be wearing flip flops to work

That doesn't sound right. Could you give your feet a whizz with a hairdryer to see if that speeds things up?

Its becasue the last coat of nail varnish was applied before the one under it was dry

 

Bit late to tell you now,but holding them in or under very cold water would help them to set

Well I slept with my feet hanging out the bed (good job its not the depths of winter) and they seem dry this morning but there are several dents in the polish and it looks dull. I'm going to put my own top coat on to try and make it look shiny. Not very happy but I don't want to complain too loudly as DD2 bought the pedicure (which was very expensive at £32) as a present and she would be very upset to know it wasn't a great success.

Ummm she did apply the coats quite quickly - I shall remember the cold water trick if I ever have the problem again Thanks

Could be worse - at least your cat didnt sleep on your feet and you woke up with furry toe nails - very were wolfish - happened to me and whenever I apply the Johnsons stuff which gives you a tanned glow (!) I suddenly find the cat JUST has to sit on me - my friends dog licks my feet when I have applied it and I drop round for a cuppa

You girls are such a tonic I have not cried with laughter this much for a very long time. Its the visuals I was getting when I read the above is what did it

 

I now have to try an compose myself as I need to go out. I know I will be laughing to myself for the rest of the day now I must try and avoid the men in white coats if they come looking for me

You know Cinnamon the bluebottle nails could catch on I was admiring the assistants serving me in Argos - the England flag - mine never turn out right. I either turn out streaky furry or just smudgey
