Ooh! We've got one of those!!

It's up in the garden at the moment, complete with tea light chandelier and lots of rugs and cushions!

I even have butterflies decorating the guy lines!:lol:

It's lovely to take camping, although it weighs a ton!

You can roll the sides up too on a hot day and use it as a giant canopy. 8)

Pictures please Groovychook! I am suffering with tent envy at the moment, so need lots of lovely tents to drool over! :D

I saw that one - but read the small print - it says this is a dodgy batch, the poles are too short! :?

I'd really like one of these: ***Pyramid Tent***

Small enough for me and the boys to do some weekend camping on our own, but still lovely thick cotton canvas. I've bought one of the Aldi tents - very impressive for £60 but having now experienced a cotton canvas tent, I didn't realise how much nicer it would be compared to polyester canvas :? Think I might need to save up again!

That might be the only way I could be persuaded to go camping?

Snowy-did you ever go to Billesdon gymkhana/show a couple of years ago? Their ladies loo tents were quite famous and just as good as that tent if not better :) Had a sitting area, flowers around the wash basins. Made port-a-loos into something else.

It does look fantastic once set up, but I don't think I'd have room for everything we take normally plus all the extra "glam" stuff

I love those windbreaks on the first clip.........I want, want , want

I agree Snowy, canvas...real canvas is great except it's weight....especially when wet

I've got the book from this site http://www.thehappycampers.co.uk/..................makes glamping seems so easy  lots of yummy recipes too :drool:

I have one of those. It's not especially difficult to put up, I managed it on my own when I was seven months pregnant. It's such a joy not to get woken up by the heat in the morning, and I love that I can stand up in it. It's never leaked either, not even in torrential rain ;) OH refuses to camp, and I'm taking Mog with me to Devon this year, so I suspect I shall be forced to stay in a flat until she's a bit older. :(

I've seen a few Mums who camp alone with the children using the pyramid style tents as they are only one pole and can be pitched single handed :D AuntyE - let OH go stay in his flat and take Mog away in the bell tent, she will love it! 8)

Hi Snowy,

Photo's of our tent as promised... had a nightmare with photobucket- didn't let me rotate one of the images and wasn't at all happy about me resizing them either! :wall:

Hope these are clickable- I'll try again if not!

By the way- we bought our tent direct from Holland. We had to do a bit of pigeon translating from the website but it saved us a fair bit of money- much cheaper than buying from the British websites & the carriage was more reasonable too! We also bought an inner tent for it which has a built in ground sheet... it fills half of the tent and is good to use on chillier camping nights. We bought that from a website in Belgium- again, much cheaper than the British sites. :D

Could've got carried away and included lots of pics of cats & dog lounging around in the tent... I'm sure they think we put it up just for them!:lol:
