gooner.girl
I have no idea re:the Sheff Utd thing Egluntine - i don't know what will happen Does seem a bit unfair... Last season Spurs lost out on 4th place and European Cup qualification to "Ooops, word censored!"nal cos they all got food poisoning last day of the season and ended up playing mostly their reserve team (was funniest thing in football ever!) I know its slightly different to the Sheff. Utd. thing (and spurs would have lost anyway even if they were well ) and I don't think a complaint was ever lodged - but i'd have felt it was pretty unjust if it had been the other way round... I guess thats football....

gooner.girl
They're lovely thanks Martin. Will post some more pictures of them soon. They are very cute, love lettuce and have learnt to use the duck ramp that clever Phil made them (they struggled jumping into pond without it... bless!) Wouldn't be without them, even DH is smitten with them... (well more so then with the chooks... ) H x
Guest
What the Princess meant to say was.... Welcome alihodg and lizinsa It'll be nice to have some more competition in the prediction league - cos, to be honest, winning it last season was just a bit too easy! (actually my 10 year old daughter chose all my results - but i'm not telling anyone that...) here's how it works.. I post the fixtures - usually only the weekend ones - on Thursday (or more often Friday!) and you all predict away - on this thread.. you get three points for predicting a correct score you get one point for correctly predicting a draw/win/loss then I do lots of complicated mathematical stuff, and produce an updated table!! (Shush, don't tell anyone but its done by my far brainier missus - have you seen her on the quiz? She does the maths cos i have to take my socks off to count past 10 - being a Bolton fan i don't often have to count their goals past 1 you see...) I will include Blunderland and Neverton if you feel you can keep up the predicting through the season! (i nearly forgot occasionally last season but then i'm an old gimmer...) occasionally there are bonus points - and occasionally we get someone's pet goldfish to join in for a few weeks so that Martin is not always bottom!!! (i had one good week last season and scored lots of points by luck, so I tease Martin to take away from my general pants-ness!) if you are top of the league for a particular week - then you are Prediction Princess for that week.. (i bet you can't match MY fetching photo though...) if you win the league (You'd better not or i'll sulk!) - as I did last season (i bribed the missus to count wrong - ) then everyone has to agree with your footballing views for the next season!! (theres no way anyone will agree with me about Bolton otherwise, and i'm getting desperate!) Princess Phil(but not for much longer - i fear Gooner Girl is just way to good!.....) Helen xx I have been umming and ahhing over this for a very long time - cos it needs a riposte, but...... actually, it is the funniest piece of banter I have ever read on here - so I have decided it should stand alone as a fine example of what football banter should be about. If we had an award for best post of the season, this would have won it! (I actually laughed out loud!) so, Helen... Princess Phil xx PS This does not mean I will not have my revenge! I'm keeping my powder dry.....

gooner.girl
As thoroughly embarrassing as it was not to come top in the quiz yesterday on "Ooops, word censored!"nal, it was good to see that Phil's wife is a secret gooner - and not a Bolton fan... Always knew she had more sense and better taste then Phil in football teams!!!! Perhaps she should be coming to the Emirate cup - not Phil!??
