Ness3103
i was just wondering if chickens wag their tails when they're happy my poor Skye has been seperated from the others for a week but seemed better today, so i let her free range with the others to make sure they weren't going to bully her. she went into the wir and stood up tall, puffed all her feathers up and walked round wagging her tail she looked so proud of herself, it's the most upright i've seen her tail since i got her and she kind of fanned it out. she spent most of the day doing it. the other girls didn't seem too interested in her til they had to go back in the wir, then bullied her a little bit but i'm hoping it'll be ok tomorrow
Redwing
I know that some birds make themselves bigger in the face of danger so as to seem more formidable, perhaps she didnt want to give any hints that they could bully her

Mollie333
Effy shakes her 'tail feathers', normally when shes on a break from the eggs, she stretches both her back legs out, then shakes her feathers, puts her wings back and shakes her back end! then has a dustbath.. then eats and drinks and returns back to the nest.
