How to break it to the Other Half....

Recommended Posts

Errr....

I put a bid on an Eglu on ebay yesterday and i'm still winning it.

Problem is i just did it ( you know that addiction thing we all have on here), I thought i could either use it for Chicken boarding or put some Quails in there.

I need to find a way to break it to the Other Half if i win it, He thinks i have enough :notalk: and doesn't know i have

made a bid. :anxious: oops

I was considering, "oh I found it by the road when I went to collect DS".....in the end I didn't need to use that line as he agreed we needed another one (for now  ) and it arrived today (purple eglu) Thanks L & C xx

Is it a really really really good price...I'd push the bargain element  ............and be prepared that you may be outbid (been there countless times  ), so this conversation would no longer be necessary, except to explain why you are a less than happy bunny :anxious:

If he asks where did that come from just say, "that old thing we've had it for ages". Well that's what Eileen says to me.........

So, you men are on to us then. Blow, that had worked for so many years.

Lilly, I would tell my husband that I was thinking ahead in case we had any health problems or bullying problems with the chickens. That it is a sensible precaution that will make things easier should things go awry, and that everyone does it. :)

When I bought my eglu, I gave it to my very lovely husband for his birthday and I can honestly say he was dumbstruck! It did set the tone for further presents to come and he received a fantastic Kitchenaid Mixer for his last Birthday. Hen ownership and cooking were definitely not on his agenda. He now knows to be very specific and that 'surprise me' means just that!

Did you include the chickens. It's dangerous that, he could have gone and got some rabbits
