Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Following on from the age thread. We do all create images in our minds of how old someone is and what they may look like etc so allow me to introduce myself (again)

 

I'm Kelly, 31, married with 4 kids.

I am new to chicken keeping myself (started in august last year with 3 chooks) - although we did have chickens as children, though I didn't deal with them too much. The cockeral scared me!

 

I've currently got 18 chickens and chicks but that's it for now. I'll have another go at hatching next year but they'll be table breeds.

That's so funny, I now have a picture in my head of people going round at the Omlet meets looking for various hens and dogs etc (or in your case, trying to spot an orang utan in dungarees)

 

I agree though, it seems odd to find out what an Omleteer really looks like - and I think I would find it just as odd to hear any of you speak!

Hi, I'm Lyn and I'm not going to say how old I am, but I'm older than Tutti Frutti. I hadn't realised how hard it was to find a photo of myself with my other half, goes to show how we don't get the camera out enough! This is one of us with our granddaughter

Just to say I tried to make the wee-mee on my avatar a realistic representation of me in uniform. If you squint hard enough (or perhaps use a different screen resolution) you might be able to spot the stethoscope around my neck....

It's good to put a face to a name and I like having a nosey at pics.

 

jimnpaula - I was visiting Maisdtone on monday. Next time I'm there I shall have to keep an eye out for a blonde lady with stethoscope, bunches and a chicken. If I see one I shall be sure to say 'hello'!

You'd be better off trying to spot my car - a LHD Smart car with yellow and black panels, very distinctive! If you're trying to see me in uniform, be ill in the Weald area of Kent and I'll come and get you.

Can I ask roughly whereabouts you are in Maidstone? I'm a maidstone girly originally. Brought up in East Sutton, then moved more centrally. I used to knock about Loose, Bearsted, Leeds, Langley area's - and some of the not so desirable areas whilst rebelling!

Well, having seen the gorgeous looking ladies in their pics, I will not be posting mine...

 

However...

 

I am 33, married, have had five children, three boys two girls. Am lucky enough to stay at home with my many pets every day. Am also a new chicken keeper, having had hens since 22nd May. Wanted chooks for two years before that, so waited a long time. Have managed to get up to 9 already, but that is my limit. I do technically have room for more if we add another house, but I'd look like a crazy person to my neighbours, who already think I'm a bit crazy!
