Seeking Spare Eglu for Short Loan in Cheshire Area

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I live in Bramhall, Cheshire and I'm in the process of looking for a new hen to go with my existing one (who's been left alone unfortunately). I don't really have anything suitable for the new one to sleep in for the first few weeks while they're separated and I'm looking to borrow an Eglu (and run if possible) for about 2 weeks.

I'll take very good care of it and leave a deposit/something to prove I'll bring it back.

If anyone can help, please get in touch, I'd be very grateful.

Hi Tilly Bud

Sorry to hear of your loss. If you go to the eglu's and run section of the Forum there is a sticky about eglu's for hire. I've got a spare one at the moment ( till end Sept when I get more ex-bats) but I'm a bit far away.

As to you other post about how long can one hen stay alone, I think the perceived wisdom is a week or two. Partly to check if the hen you lost had something infectious. So I guess you're fine to wait until you can get some time off.

Some people have used cat carriers and divided the eglu run so that may be an alternative for you.

Tricia
