massive price hike on the go extention

Recommended Posts

It's the same HUGE price rise on the classic extension and converter, too. After much deliberation, I ordered mine online on Sunday and it arrived yesterday, it cost about £53 I think with delivery which I thought was a lot, but I noticed that the price had rocketed to £79 by Tuesday, presumably £80+ with delivery? There's no way I'd have ordered one at that price - I think Omlet need to be VERY careful with their pricing?

Haven't metal costs increased? And haven't manufacturing costs risen?

In my experience, companies as small as Omlet only raise costs when there is no way they can absorb them anymore.

I think we should anticipate that more manufactured good will rise in price over the next few months. NEXT, for instance, is forecasting an 8% rise in the cost of their clothes next year. And that is without factoring in the 20% VAT cost kicking in for January.

That's the way of the world now..

I agree - do think the price rise is a bit excessive though, and why not have it at the higher price since last week when they released it

Put me off buying an extension for the (green eglu) for now anyway!

I'd have to agree with this too, it's not the fact that the price has gone up, it's the amount of the increase (I think it's 60%+), that's very different from 8%?

I was waiting to get my chickibodies settled in to see how they got on so was rather horrified that I had missed the boat on the run extension pricing, I've still ordered it though as I'm sure the girlies will appreciate it. Delivery was £5.99 on it and some other bits.

Proud new mummy to new arrivals on Wednesday 1 araucana (gold duckwing) - Paxo, 1 appenzeller spitzhauben -Cupcake, 1 orpington - Sunday Roast, 1 app spit x silkie - Lisa Marie (dad was Elvis so it had to be).
