Hey all,

Decided to name my two buff orps. I havnt named them yet because I thought they were both boys, but theyre now 19 weeks old and look very un cockerel like and I havnt heard an inkling of a crow out of either of them, So im going to take a chance!

I like either- dillys, ermentrude, willemina or dorkers.

I think posh names suit chickens best! Anyone else have any suggestions??

I've just christened my cuckoo Poland little girl Dilys so I vote for that My other Polands are Doris and Olive.

How about names that are slightly androgynous? I think Wilimena and Jerry/Geri are great, because they give a hint to their mysterious past! Especially in the case of Willy!

 

We've got a similar situation. I wanted our speckledy to be called Jim regardless of gender (a Blackadder gag), but my beloved disagreed with the idea, so hwe compromised and he is 'officially' called Jemima! But we always call him Jim.

Our bantams were Ruddy, Clementine, Sonia and Annie. My current chooks are Sunday (Roast), Paxo, Cupcake and Lisa-Marie.

 

The very handsome bantam boy was Jean-Claude.

We are planning Varta, Vidor, Eveready and Duracell for the ex-batts. The latter two may change though if we come up with better ones!
